It’s a joy and privilege, not an obligation to be fulfilled. God is so generous; He sent His Son to give us life to save us. So, in response to all He’s done, we give to His house so others can know Jesus and experience the freedom and forgiveness He offers.
Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. If you’ve never given before, we invite you to take the challenge and put God to the test (Malachi 3:10)!
God is so generous! He sent His Son to give His life to save us. So, in response to His radical generosity, we give freely so others can know Jesus and experience the freedom and forgiveness He offers. And the best part is that He will use your generosity to impact countless people and communities both here and around the world! Thank you for your giving.
There are several options for you to choose from to make your giving easy and secure.

To be fully-devoted followers of Jesus, God calls us all to give cheerfully! This is our opportunity to worship the Creator through our finances and acknowledge that He owns it all; and we are simply stewards of what He entrusts to us.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” –2 Corinthians 9:7 NIV
Giving Pathway
The Bible has many different types of giving. The first is the “tithe” (the Hebrew word translates literally to mean “tenth”). When you give the first 10% of your income to the Lord through the church, you put God first, and the Bible says He blesses the rest!
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” –Malachi 3:10 NIV
Another type of giving is an offering, which is when you give generously above and beyond your tithe to meet a specific need or simply out of gratitude for the Lord’s goodness. As an individual or a family, we hope you will prayerfully consider how God is inviting you to get into the story through your giving.
“And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.” – Acts 4:33-35 NIV
An offering is when we feel called to give generously above and beyond, when we see a need and are moved to meet it! We hope that you—as an individual or as a family—will prayerfully consider how God may be inviting you to get in the story and give.
In order to make your above and beyond giving experience the best it can be, we’ve created unique areas of focus you can select from to ensure your gift is put towards your area of passion.

At Calvary Chapel we are committed to godly financial management and we take steps every year to ensure that we are above reproach.
How is Calvary Chapel held accountable with my tithes and offerings?
Calvary Chapel is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). We adhere to high standards of biblical accountability, board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charitable resources. You can view our accreditation here.
Calvary Chapel is also audited annually by an independent certified public accounting firm, CapinCrouse, LLP. You can view this audit on our Financial Statement.
Why should I tithe?
Tithing is a form of worship. When you tithe to the Lord through your home church, you’re trusting God by giving back what is already His. Secondly, tithing is a biblical principle; we tithe out of obedience to God (Malachi 3: 8-10). Why should I give 10%? The word “tithe” is derived from the word “tenth” (Genesis 14:20, 28:22).
What’s the best way to give?
The easiest and best way to give is through your Pushpay account on our website or the CalvaryFTL app. You can make a one-time gift, schedule your giving to be recurring, and review your giving history all in one place.
Can I give my offering to a specific area?
At Calvary Chapel, we have a ‘One Fund’ approach, meaning that all of the money Calvary receives goes into a single bucket called “Tithes and Offerings” and is used for all of the expenses of the church, as well as all of the ministry. Having a single fund allows us to be flexible with the funds God has entrusted us with, and allows us to meet ministry needs as the Lord leads. If you have any questions about our budget and how funds are utilized, please refer to our annual statements below or contact our Engagement Team! (Acts 4:32-35)
Do I receive a receipt for my giving?
If you make a donation online, you will receive an electronic receipt by e-mail that is issued immediately from Pushpay. Giving statements are sent to your primary email address on file in late January for the prior calendar year. The receipt states that you have donated to Calvary Chapel and shows the amount.
Where can I see an entire record of my giving history?
Go to PushPay, and log into your giving account. Once you’re logged in, scroll down to “My Giving” and click “View History” on the right. If you need assistance, please call 954-556-4499.
Will my giving be recorded for tax purposes?
Calvary Chapel is a licensed 501(c)(3) and is required to keep a record of all gifts. Giving statements are sent to your primary email address on file in late January for the prior calendar year
Marketable securities: Transfer ownership of stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares
Marketable securities are a great way to maximize your giving, because you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the full fair market value of your securities. In addition, you pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost and the fair market value. We’ve teamed up with the National Christian Foundation (NCF) to receive these non-cash gifts.
Can I give non-cash gifts items like cars, boats, and jewelry?
Did you know that over 90% of the world’s wealth is held in assets, not cash? That means that most of your giving capacity is tied up in your “stuff,” not your checkbook. We’ve teamed up with various partners so we can accept several types of non-cash gift items you want to give. Whether it’s a car, a boat, or jewelry, our partners will turn it into cash and give it back to Calvary to invest in the lives of people who need the gospel. Givers will be sent an acknowledgement letter including a description of the donated item and the date it was received.
What is the National Christian Foundation (NCF)?
NCF is a Christian Institution offering solutions and tax-smart strategies for your giving. Our local NCF team is comprised of some of the brightest, most passionate experts in charitable giving. This institution brokers your personal giving on our behalf to help us be the best stewards of your gift.
Why the National Christian Foundation (NCF)?
NCF offers creative solutions and tax-smart strategies to help you give more efficiently and steward all that God has entrusted to you. This will help you make the biggest possible impact in the areas of your greatest passion. With non-cash giving at NCF, you transfer part or all of your asset to NCF before the sale, thereby reducing or eliminating capital gains taxes, and then we liquidate the asset at the right time. The net proceeds will then go to Calvary’s Giving Fund.
How can I contact the National Christian Foundation (NCF)?
Please feel free to contact NCF with any questions concerning your giving.
